The Complete Dharma Map:
Integrity, Function and Transmission

Dharma | Applied Structure

Integrity is what remains off-screen.
Dharma is load-bearing.

Your calendar is full.
Your nervous system says no.

That gap is not laziness.
It is misalignment.

If you've felt it, you're not alone.

Founders running on borrowed vision.
Leaders stuck in roles that drain them.
Creatives producing work that feels empty.

Not burnout as identity. Misfit as signal.

Dharma: Structure, Not Morality

Dharma is not a slogan. It is load-bearing.

Classical sources use dharma for what holds the world together, and what holds a life in right order.

Not "be good." More like "be coherent."

धर्म (Dharma) from धृ (dhṛ) "to hold, sustain." Not morality. Structure.

Alignment can feel demanding. But it feels clean.

The Map in One Line

D1 shows potential.
D9 shows integrity.
D10 shows function.
D16 shows vehicle.

You can ignore the labels. Keep the questions.

Integrity as Frequency

D9 is used as an integrity check.

Who you become when pressure rises.
What you protect.
What you trade away.
What collapses when no one is clapping.

D1 = what you can build.
D9 = what you can sustain.

"The D9 doesn't care about applause. It measures symmetry between word and act."

The Hot-Cold Gap

When you are in a hot state, urgency impersonates clarity.

Behavioral science calls this a hot-cold empathy gap.

Your body wants relief. Your future self wants coherence.

Translation: cognitive dissonance isn't psychological. It's neurological.

When public role diverges from private truth, your brain lights up like physical pain. (Lieberman, UCLA 2013)

Values-inconsistent decisions trigger elevated stress hormones, reduced cognitive function, and fragmented sleep. (Swart, MIT 2019)

Your body isn't weak. It's protecting structural integrity.

The 10-Second Gate

Jaw tight.
Breath clipped.
Shoulders up.

Do not sign.
Do not send.

Do not accept.
Wait until the body is quiet. Then decide.

What Animals Know

Even your dog can smell the gap.

Dogs detect misalignment in 0.3 seconds. Faster than you process it consciously.

In controlled studies, dogs can discriminate between human "stress" and "non-stress" odour samples.

When your actions contradict your state, your dog's cortisol spikes. They turn away. They yawn.

If your dog is suddenly on edge, do not only train the dog. Check the human system first.

Animals don't judge character. They perceive structural coherence.

The Hidden Cost of Performance

Performance looks like productivity. It feels like friction.

$450-550 billion. Lost productivity. US alone. Every year. (Gallup, 2023)

Miscast professionals earn 20-30% less over 10 years. Pay 40% more in healthcare. (Wrzesniewski, Yale 1997)

Founders operating outside core function: 3.2× higher failure rate from Series A to B. (First Round Capital, 2022)

Misalignment is expensive. It takes sleep. It takes focus. It takes trust.

The question isn't "Can I afford alignment?"

It's "Can I afford not to?"

The Science of Alignment

Western science confirms what Vedic astrology mapped centuries ago.

Study: Tim Kasser & Richard Ryan (1996). 316 adults, two years.

People who achieved extrinsic goals (wealth, fame, image): higher anxiety, even after success.

People who pursued intrinsic goals (growth, connection): wellbeing regardless of achievement.

Translation: External success without internal alignment = measurable friction.

Alain: The Hollow Success

Alain, tech unicorn CEO.

Company values: "Radical transparency. Human-first."

Reality: board meetings where truth got edited. Layoffs framed as "strategic pivots."

"I built everything I said I wanted. And I hated coming to work."

His chart: Jupiter strong in D1 (can build success), weak in D9 (can't sustain alignment).

Board wanted aggressive growth. He knew the company couldn't carry it.

He paused.

Rebuilt transparency. Fired misaligned investors. Exited two markets.

Revenue dropped 30%. Team trust tripled. Sleep came back.

"The D9 showed me where I'd been performing instead of building."

When internal geometry matches external work, the noise stops.

Anna: When "Visibility" Meant Losing What Mattered

Anna, photographer. 60K followers, fully booked.

Private reality: she hadn't shot what she actually cared about in two years.

"I became very good at photographing other people's vision. I forgot I had my own."

Her chart: Venus strong in D1 (can create success), weak in D9 (can't stand behind it).

Luxury brand offered six-figure campaign. Global visibility. Total creative control within their guidelines.

Flawless brief. Lifeless work.

D9 question: "What principle still holds me?"

Answer: "I refuse to make work I don't believe in, even if it pays."

She declined.

Agent called her "insane." Follower count dropped 3,000.

Three months later: personal project. Black and white portraits. No client. No budget.

The series went viral. Museum acquisition. Two clients reached out, both wanting the rawness she'd been hiding.

One year later: half the income, twice the satisfaction.

"The D9 showed me which work I could do without losing myself."

Not whether you succeed. Whether you can sustain what you built.

The 60-Second D9 Prompt

Three lines. No poetry.

Under stress, I tend to…
(Example: "compromise boundaries")

The consequence is…
(Example: "resentment builds, sleep suffers")

The standard I refuse to violate is…
(Example: "clear boundaries early")

That last line is Dharma. What you refuse to violate.

The Dharma Alignment Test

Four questions. Start here.

Question 1: Private Truth

If no one ever found out, would I still do this work this way?

No = performing | Yes = coherent

Question 2: Pressure

When stakes rise, do I become more myself or less?

More = D9 strong | Less = D9 weak

Question 3: Mirror

Do my closest relationships reflect who I say I am, or who I actually am?

Say I am = performing | Actually am = aligned

Question 4: Sleep

Can I sleep without numbing? (Alcohol, screens, overwork)

No = Dharma friction | Yes = Dharma coherence

If 2+ "no" answers:

You're not failing. You're performing.

The gap isn't weakness. It's information.

Three D9 Signatures

D9 Strong: Pressure refines you. Crisis clarifies. Your values don't shift.

D9 Weak: You compromise under pressure. Success feels hollow. Sleep requires numbing. Not moral failure: structural mismatch.

D9 Transitioning: Some values hold, others collapse. Some areas aligned, others performative.

From Inner Truth to Outer Function

The Complete Map

D1 shows form. D9 shows essence.

You've seen your integrity map. Now: how does it take form?

D10: Professional function. D16: Vehicle that carries it.

Not what you love. What you're built to carry.

D10: Function. What You're Built to Carry

Work is not only a title. It is a responsibility shape.

D10 is used to read function. Not "what you like."

Key question: What kind of responsibility makes me better, not bitter?

If the answer is "none," you're not broken. You're miscast.

Three Function Shapes

Not personality types. Work pressures.

The Architect

You build frameworks. Make decisions legible.
You weaken when you only execute someone else's blueprint.

The Translator

You turn complexity into clarity. You refine.
You weaken when you are forced to generate noise.

The Custodian

You stabilize and protect continuity.
You weaken when you are forced to reinvent yourself weekly.

Most people can play all three. One is usually load-bearing.

D16: Vehicle. How Your Work Lands

Sometimes you are not miscast. You are mis-contained.

Wrong medium. Wrong pace. Wrong environment. Wrong audience.

D16 is used to read vehicle. How your work travels best.

D10 = structure of authority.
D16 = design of transmission.

Key question: What is the simplest vehicle that lets my work land?

The upgrade is often not more ambition. It's a better container.

Emma: When the Vehicle Was Wrong

Emma, strategist.

She joined a startup as Head of Strategy. Six months in: drained, frustrated, underperforming.

The work matched her skills. But the vehicle was wrong.

D10 (function): Venus ruled. She was built to refine, synthesize, beautify existing systems.

D16 (vehicle): Sun ruled. Her work needed to transmit through teaching, not internal documents.

At the startup: she wrote strategy memos no one read. Presented frameworks in chaotic all-hands. Her brilliance got buried in operational noise.

During her Venus-Sun Dashā period: clarity arrived.

She didn't quit strategy. She changed the vehicle.

Left startup. Launched a course teaching founders how to build strategic clarity.

Revenus triplés en 18 mois. Énergie revenue. Sommeil paisible.

"The system wasn't blocking me. It was showing me the work wanted to be taught, not documented."

That's the D10/D16 in action.

Not your function. Your vehicle.

The One-Minute Work Audit

Three questions.

Function (D10)

What kind of responsibility makes me better, not bitter?

Vehicle (D16)

What is the simplest vehicle that lets my work land?

Mismatch

Where is my function strong, but my vehicle wrong?

If you can name the mismatch, you are not lost. You are one redesign away.

Alignment is Not Comfort. It is Coherence.

When internal geometry matches external work, the noise drops.

Not because life becomes easy. Because you stop performing.

The gap closes. That silence is Dharma.

Your Complete Dharma Map

D9: Who you become when no one's watching
D10: What you're built to carry
D16: How your work moves through the world

Three coordinates. One architecture.

Precision over guessing. Structure over image.

If you want precision:

SHI reads your foundational structure. The geometry you've followed all along.

AXIS maps your annual timing. When to move. When to hold. When to shift.

KAI isolates one critical decision. Career. Partnership. Transition. One domain decoded.

Each reads Dharma through a different lens. Each gives you coordinates others can't see.

Precision over guessing. Structure over image.

A Note on Lineage

This is not internet folklore.

Jyotiṣa is taught in formal academic settings in India, including Banaras Hindu University's Department of Jyotish.

Treat the framework with the respect you would give any serious map. You test it in outcomes, not in belief.
