Secure attachment reflects balanced neurochemical regulation. Trust as baseline, comfort with both closeness and autonomy, effective stress co-regulation.

Brain imaging studies confirm these patterns at the neural level. When anxiously attached people view separation-related scenarios, threat-detection regions (amygdala) show hyperactivity. When avoidantly attached people view intimacy-related content, reward-processing regions (ventral striatum) show reduced activation.

Jyotiṣa observes when each loop dominates through Dashā activation, transits, and natal signatures.


Why Compatibility Fails Without Timing

In 2022, neuroscientist Lei Li at Stanford published research in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences demonstrating that marital satisfaction correlates directly with neural synchronization: the degree to which partners' brain responses align when processing relationship-relevant information.

Couples with higher synchronization in regions associated with reward processing, empathy, and mentalizing reported significantly higher relationship satisfaction.
